Very good Keris Tajong from Malaysia. 19th century. Total length sheated is 61 cm. Blade with handle 40 cm. The wranka has two chips on either side on the front. The lower part (the left curl) of the wranka has once been broken off but has been meticulously repaired, the crack is hardly visible. The blade is old and very typical for a Tajong Keris. Type charita. Lovely fullers on both sides. The blade fits the sheath like a glove.
The handle is made from dark wood, parts are gilded but not covered with a metal sheath as often seen on coteng Keris. The pendokok is made from gilded silver and nicely embossed.
