Sikin Pasangan , Aceh. A very nice and scarce sword from Atjeh, Sumatra. 19th century, blade late 18th to early 19th century. Mouthpiece is made from a piece of sea-ivory, nicely carved. Scabbard made of wood, brass bands of which several are missing. handle made from horn, usual crack due to age. Total length in scabbard approx 88 cm. Blade is a reused English saber, stamped ‘wartdwdcastl’. Probably “Warranted Ward Cast Steel”. A producer from Sheffield, England. €1450,-
